For this year’s edition of the Independent Space Index, Laurenz invites his friends from Athens, Brussels, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Vienna and Chicago to present their stories in the space at Linke Wienzeile 36 and to reflect on existence, precarity, new beginnings and endings. What do we do as an independent space, for whom, under what conditions and why? 7 international spaces will tell their stories about how life is on their side of things.
Laurenz is a project aiming to offer an infrastructure for spatial and artistic experiments and discourse. With Laurenz we would like to establish a steady rhythm of exhibitions, giving regional and international contemporary artists a platform for expression and exploration.
